“What? Cancelled. So I’ve been working at your hospital for two weeks and this is the 4th time you’ve cancelled me.”
Cancellations! Yes they suck and yes they do happen. However I have been lucky so far and this has not happened much to me personally until now. What’s laughable is that the same place I am working at is advertising for more travel RN needs. Explain that. Anyways, I wanted to share some tips to buy you some time and to help you put more cash in your pocket.
A few learning points:
- Ask if you can be compensated for part or even the whole shift.
- Always know how many times you can be cancelled during your contracted assignment.
- Stay in contact with your recruiter and keep them updated.
- Get a PRN job immediately.
