Sorry You’ve Been Cancelled…

“What? Cancelled. So I’ve been working at your hospital for two weeks and this is the 4th time you’ve cancelled me.”

Cancellations! Yes they suck and yes they do happen. However I have been lucky so far and this has not happened much to me personally until now. What’s laughable is that the same place I am working at is advertising for more travel RN needs. Explain that. Anyways, I wanted to share some tips to buy you some time and to help you put more cash in your pocket.

A few learning points:

  • Ask if you can be compensated for part or even the whole shift.
  • Always know how many times you can be cancelled during your contracted assignment.
  • Stay in contact with your recruiter and keep them updated.
  • Get a PRN job immediately.
